“WELCOME HOME”

The Metro Center Association’s “Welcome Home” initiative is aimed at cultually connecting housed Metro Center residents with those experiencing homelessness in our neighborhood. This contact with the homeless and recently housed guests at Friends of the Homeless will uplift all residents and create community as participants
enjoy our shared humanity.
Housed residents will have the unique opportunity to learn that unhoused neighbors do not fit into one essentializing and alienating stereotype. The lives of the unhoused will be enriched by being included and welcomed into cultural activities, not marginalized as has too often been the case.
