Mystic Willow is offering a soothing Lenten series with body awareness, mindful movement, and sound healing. Come, rest, breathe, gently stretch and nurture the divine quiet spaces within you.

Cultural Fusion at Art for the Soul Gallery
“Cultural Fusion” features a dynamic collection of large-scale neon installations and immersive environments highlighting the vision of artist Bill Myers. Myers ‘works explores the complexities of social issues and anxieties, while simultaneously celebrating the power of collective human connection. “Cultural Fusion” offers an opportunity to engage with art that navigates themes of social isolation, inequality, and shared humanity.
Opening Reception: March 23, 3 p.m. -6 p.m.

BINGO with PIZZA
Say “yes” to a retro bingo and pizza event sponsored by our Metro Center neighbors, the South End Citizens Council and the Italian Cultural Center of Western Mass., along with the Springfield Police Department and the Hampden County Sherriff’s Office. All are welcome to this event offering “fun, excitement, and community,” as the sponsors say.

U.S. Air Force Academy Bank
FREE CONCERT! The Spirit of Springfield presents the U. S. Air Force Academy Concert Band at Springfield Symphony Hall on Sunday, April 13, at 2 p.m. Doors open at 1 p.m.

Rotunda Rhymes Free Concert
The Springfield Central Library’s free concert series in the lovely rotunda presents singer Keir White.
Keir will be performing love songs, standards, ballads, and soft rock, including artists such as Josh Groban, Billy Joel, Louis Armstrong, Roy Orbison, Elton John, John Denver and Nat King Cole. Keir enjoys singing music that inspires and motivates people to feel better about themselves and the world around them.

Skyview Downtown Family Resources Fair for residents
Skyview Downtown will be buzzing with resources for its residents! Picking up on the success of the Metro Center Association's previous family events, the Skyview Downtown apartment building is hosting a Community Resources Fair exclusively for it residents. Residents will join MCA and other neighborhood partners to discover valuable services, connect with community, and enjoy delicious refreshments from MCA! The goal is to build a stronger, more connected Metro Center apartment tower together!

Space to Inspire: Public Forum
Dr. Sian Proctor, the first woman commerical spaceship pilot, will share her unique space story and how she won her seat to space as an artist and poet, and found her authentic voice through a life-long journey of exploration and discovery. During this motivating talk, she will discuss how preparation, persistence, opportunity, and responsibility have transformed her life and how you can use your unique space to inspire those within your reach and beyond around creating a Just, Equitable, Diverse, and Inclusive space (J.E.D.I. space) both on Earth and beyond.

Critter Crossing
A special collection of fun — school vacation activities for students and parents. Celebrate the opening of Living Waters: From Oceans to Valleys, which invites visitors to explore habitats around the world and in our own backyard. The beloved inhabitants of this special space, like the wood turtle are now joined by animals from Africa and South America. For more fun there is the Robot Zoon special exhibit.

To the Moon & Back
A dazzling Valentine’s evening in the Springfield Science Museum. Enjoy an original planetarium show created exclusively for this event, a tour the rooftop observatory, hands-on activities; and delicious flatbreads, desserts, and a cash bar. Ages 21+.
Cost: $35, $25 for members

Sen. Adam Gomez: New Office Hours on Tuesdays
State Senator Adam Gomez, whose legislative district includes the Metro Center neighborhood, is launching new office hours to enhance accessibility. Starting Tuesday, February 4, you can connect with Senator Adam Gomez's office during both daytime and evening virtual sessions: 11 a.m.-12 p.m. and 6-7 p.m.
From the Senator: “This initiative aims to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to voice their concerns, ask questions, and collaborate on community strengthening.”

Science Trivia Night
Do you love astronomy? Are you still in your dinosaur phase? Do you love fun facts and a great night out, either with friends or to meet new people? Science Trivia Night will be full of questions for which answers can be found in the Springfield Science Museum!
Bring a team of up to five players, or form a team together upon arrival. Snack on popcorn, pretzels, and beer nuts while you mull over your answers to questions related to science topics from fish of the Connecticut River, to the origins of the Milky Way. Compete for team prizes and even better, bragging rights. Ages 21+.
Cost: $15, guests members $10

MLK Day Celebration
Celebrate of the legacy or the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Doors open at 12:00 PM, featuring an arts and wellness expo. Program featuring student and community performances begins at 2 p.m.
Admission is FREE, all are welcome!

Metro Center Annual Meeting
The Metro Center Association, formerly known as the Armoury-Quadrangle Civic Association, is planning a joyful annual meeting to celebrate our new name! Joining us as keynote speaiers will be our Becon Hill warriors, State Senator Addam Gomez and State Representative Carlos Gonzalez, who will preview the 2025 legislative session for all our Metro Center stakeholders.

Hopes & Dreams 2025
Joyful thanks to the Springfield Business Improvement District and Springfield Cultural Partnership for creating the Hopes & Dreams Wall, an interactive installation where we can come together to share aspirations for the year ahead.
Inspired by New York City’s iconic tradition, this wall invites everyone to write their hopes and dreams on colorful Post-it notes and add them to the display. Whether it’s a personal goal, a wish for the community, or a dream for the world, every note contributes to a collective vision of positivity and possibility.
As the presenters say, ”This collaborative installation celebrates unity, creativity, and the power of dreams, offering a space for reflection and connection as we welcome 2025 together.”

Your Metro Center Association sponsors “Kids Art Workshops” led by Metro Center artist Frankie Borrero on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at South Church. Kids of all ages are welcome to join in to get creative in the supportive atmosphere Frankie skillfully and lovingly creates. Festival of Trees
The Springfield Boys Girls Club offers a heartwarming tradition that brings our community together to embrace the joy and magic of the holiday season. Imagine walking through a wonderland of beautifully decorated trees, each one a unique masterpiece donated by our generous local businesses, organizations, and individuals.

Metro Center Meeting: What’s New at Tower Square Park
White Lion Brewing’s entrepreneurial owner Ray Berry will provide an update on his planned ARPA funded Container Park in Tower Square Park, offer small business observations in downtown Springfield, and talk about operational changes to enhance greater foot traffic.

A Christmas fair with flair and fun for the family — Parandas Christmas music by the Crillo Classico Trio, Metro Center Association kids crafting with artist Frankie Barrero, vendors selling gifts, crafts, candles, jewelry and more to make the season merry.
